Job Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Quality assurance data entry. Provides support by thoroughly abstracting, entering, and correcting data. Continually working to improve the quality and efficiency of documentation, ultimately leading to improvements in the quality of care for Centerstone clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Enters and corrects clinical data to ensure documentation is accurately recorded to prevent errors.
Provides accurate, positive, and timely service to staff
Reports documentation validity concerns to management, HIM, Compliance, Quality Improvement, and Finance as needed
Assists with testing new EHR functionality to ensure it is ready for production site as needed
Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Centerstone to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Centerstone
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Provides assistance in special projects given around data correction within the electronic health record as needed.
Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
Proficient using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proven ability to quickly grasp information and independently produce results.
Strong positive communications skills, especially in written documentation.
Strong interest and drive to improve clinical standards and procedures.
Aptitude for building rapport across various groups.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Years of Experience
A minimum of one (1) year experience working with EHR/EMR systems from a billing, support, and/or user perspective.
