Sales Administrative Assistant We are currently seeking a Sales Administrative Assistant to provide our Sales Director with superb administrative support. Through their contributions, the individual in this role will play a major part in ensuring the success of the company by managing rapidly changing calendars and acting as a liaison and main point of contact for other departments.
The ideal candidate should have excellent administrative and organizational skills and the ability to operate with grace under pressure within a fast-paced office environment. They should be an effective and diplomatic communicator, as well as a skilled builder of relationships. Additionally, they should take satisfaction from interacting with a wide range of personalities, and should feel fueled by the stimulating environment of working in a high-performing Sales team.
The Sales Administrative Assistant will report to the Sales Director.
Job Responsibilities
Provide the Sales Director with consistent and competent administrative support (managing and prioritizing email correspondence and phone calls, etc.).
Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for the Sales team.
Monitor and track sales leads and follow-up activities (maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities, managing sample requests for customers, etc.).
Manage sample requests for customers from labeling, packing, shipping and tracking.
Conduct research on industry trends and competitors and visit stores as needed.
Assist with the preparation of sales presentations, reports, and proposals.
Build strong working relationships with cross functional team members (Art, Sourcing, etc.) and aid the Sales Director in coordinating with all relevant parties.
Provide general administrative support to all members of the Sales team as needed.
Proactively assess the needs of the Sales Director and the Sales team as a whole and make suggestions for satisfying those needs when appropriate.
Some travel may be required on an as needed basis.
Ideal Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred – other qualifying experience also acceptable.
Prior experience as a sales or administrative/executive assistant strongly preferred, but open to the right candidate with other professional experience in fast-paced office environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel) and Google Suite.
Ability to physically lift items weighing as much as 40 lbs.
Prior experience within B2B companies a plus.
Prior experience working for a retailer in either merchandising or administrative assistance a plus.
Fantastic interpersonal skills (relationship building, mediation, collaboration, etc.).
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
Strong self-discipline, time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Detail oriented.
An interest in retail and consumer goods.
A passion for supporting the success of a growing small business.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
