Full Job Description

This is a 12-month limited term position which may be extended to 24 months and/or become permanent. Multiple positions may become available.

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Examination Technician is responsible for the review and evaluation of work experience and education for initial licensure, reciprocity, and re-licensure candidates seeking eligibility for the national Architect Registration Examination (ARE) and the state-specific California Supplemental Examination (CSE).

Working Conditions

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting, with artificial lighting and temperature control. Daily access to and ability to use a personal computer and telephone is essential. Sitting and standing requirements are consistent with office work. The incumbent must be able to type at least 40 words per minute and to occasionally move up to 25 lbs. (boxes, large file folders, etc.).
