The Hospitality Admin assists with the administrative tasks within HR, Sales, Marketing, Accounting & Assisting the Assistant General Manager. Looking For an Intern to be onsite for at least a year.

Position Overview:

Hotel Forty-Five is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Hospitality Business Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship provides comprehensive, hands-on learning experience across multiple departments, including Sales (Groups and Catering), Marketing, Accounting, and Human Resources. Interns will gain valuable exposure to the day-to-day operations of a hospitality business, develop essential professional skills, and contribute meaningfully to our organization’s success.

Key Areas of Learning and Responsibilities:

Sales (Groups and Catering):

Screen inbound sales calls and inquiries to identify potential business opportunities.
Enter and manage sales leads in CI, ensuring all opportunities are accurately and promptly recorded.
Conduct site visits and walkthroughs for prospective clients when Sales team members are unavailable.
Assist with group event detailing and organizational tasks to support the successful execution of future events.

Marketing:

Build event pages using Marriott Digital Services platform to promote upcoming events.
Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to book, coordinate, and plan events.
Communicate event details to internal teams and external business partners.
Promote events across social media channels and restaurant platforms to drive engagement and attendance.

Accounting:

Gain an understanding of the cashiering process and related financial controls.
Assist in conducting bank audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Post checks into CI and Opera systems.
Learn the basics of Profit and Loss statements, budgeting principles, and strategies for maximizing checkbook efficiency.

Human Resources:

Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for various positions.
Assist with payroll processing and gain insight into the HR administration cycle.
Assist with filing confidential employee records and HR documents.
Represent the property at local job fairs and recruiting events, helping to source and attract talent.

Qualifications:

Current enrollment in a Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or related program.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CI and Opera is a plus.
I have a passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to learn and grow professionally.
