Role Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing daily cargo and port operations, ensuring smooth coordination between customers, hauliers, depot operators, and internal teams. Key responsibilities include monitoring operational workflows and system performance, resolving issues in a timely manner, and escalating technical matters to the relevant departments when necessary.

The position also involves maintaining accurate operational records, preparing reports and dashboards, and supporting the implementation of new processes and system enhancements. In addition, the successful candidate will handle customer and stakeholder inquiries, provide operational support and guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

Salary Range: RM 3,500 – RM 4,500 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

– Manage and oversee day-to-day operational system activities to ensure smooth business operations.

– Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing operational issues and escalating critical matters to management when necessary.

– Coordinate and monitor all aspects of port operations to ensure operational efficiency and service quality.

– Lead and manage project rollouts, acting as the site project coordinator and providing regular progress updates to the Head Office (HQ) management team.

– Attend port operational meetings and liaise with port management and port authorities regarding project implementation, operational performance, and major incidents.

– Act as the Incident Manager during critical system or operational downtime by coordinating with clients, internal teams, and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.

– Monitor operational performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and recommend effective solutions.

– Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate project and incident documentation.

– Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.

– Travel to customer sites, ports, or project locations as required to support operational activities and project implementation.

Requirements

– Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

– 2–5 years of experience in client management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.

– Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

– Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.

– Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other computer applications.

– Experience with data analysis and reporting using software such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar analytical tools is an advantage.

– Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

– Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

– Able to start work immediately or within short notice is preferred.

Work Arrangement

Location: UOA Business Park, Shah Alam

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
