Overview
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide front office administrative support to the Narrowband SATCOM Program Office, supporting the United States Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC). Office is located at Naval Information Warfare Command (NAVWAR) in San Diego, CA. Performs tasks such as scheduling, reviewing, prioritizing, responding to emails, answering, and returning phone calls, organizing documents, maintaining records, and any other administrative needs.
Responsibilities
Manages scheduling for Director and Deputy Director.
Drafts, reviews, and sends communications on behalf of the Program Office’s leadership.
Organizes and prepares for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings.
Answers and responds to phone calls, communicates messages, and information to the executive.
Prioritizes emails and responds when necessary.
Coordinates travel arrangements.
Maintains various records and documents for the Program Office.
As a Security Assistant, assists with maintaining a secured space by acting as an opener and closer when required, in relation will also submit visit requests for leadership and code common access cards for building entry.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000/Year depending on experience and qualifications
Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree required
3 years (7 with no degree) of demonstrated experience in DoD Administrative and Front Office Management
Ability to multi-task; document review, respond to emails, schedule meetings, and process requests while staying organized and professional
Experience interfacing, facilitating, and providing rapid response and effective troubleshooting to ensure meetings and VTC capabilities run efficiently without incident
Track meeting action items from all assigned meetings and report daily status of tasks and assignments completion to the Government
Experience interfacing and support Executive level officers and leadership
Interest and ability to work in a dynamic work environment
Must be able perform all duties independently

Ability to learn/utilize other tools as needed
U.S. citizenship required
Active security clearance required
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
