Position Description

Job Summary

The University Housing Planning and Support Services oversees multiple dynamic areas and is responsible for proactive analysis of complex issues, process improvement, and communication of department-specific information to the residential community and campus stakeholders. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities Operations and Sustainability, the incumbent provides lead direction to professional and administrative staff, manages day-to-day operations for the Customer and Work Order unit, and ensures organizational goals and deadlines are met.

The role also acts as a liaison to departments, residents, contractors, and vendors, and handles administrative analysis for tasks such as work order database management, room/apartment condition inventory, key control inventories and training, damage charge analytics, and oversight of special event programs.

Department Summary

University Housing, part of the Division of Student Affairs, includes Facilities Operations, Housing Administration, Custodial Operations, Diversity and Inclusion, and Residential Student Experience. It provides housing for over 8,800 students and aims to create a diverse, engaging environment that inspires residents to Learn by Living.

Key Qualifications

Ability to lead work direction for student assistants and staff through measurable KPIs and achievable objectives.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to analyze and evaluate software functionality, perform fit-gap analyses, and design efficient business practices.

Strong communication skills to convey technical information to varied audiences.

Ability to identify problems from detailed and broad perspectives and navigate discussions to minimize negative impacts during solution design.

Education and Experience

Graduation from a four-year college or university, with three years of relevant experience. A graduate degree may substitute for one year of experience. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $65,000 – $85,000 per year

Classification Range: $55,176 – $99,816 per year
