SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the City Manager, is responsible for supporting the City Manager and City Council offices. Will provide general office support services such as email drafting/proofreading, scheduling meetings, maintaining a City calendar, scheduling and arranging travel, preparing council chambers for meetings, assisting in agenda packet distribution as well as supporting the Information Technology department in video creation and various meeting streaming. Assists on special projects as needed. May be a staff liaison or recording secretary on various commissions and boards. Provides confidential administrative-secretarial support to the City Manager and Mayor.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Municipal/Office experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Provides general office support services such as email drafting/proofreading for the City Manager and Mayor
Schedules internal City meetings, including addition to the City Outlook calendar and proper reservation of the space
Maintains the website city calendar.
Books trainings and arranges travel as requested for City Council, and as approved by the City Manager.
Prepares council chambers for meetings.
Assists City Clerk in agenda packet distribution.
Supports the Information Technology department in video creation and various live meeting streaming.
Assists the City Manager on special projects as needed.
May serve as a staff liaison or recording secretary on various commissions and boards.
Provides confidential administrative support to the City Manager and Mayor.
Serves as the City’s administrative FOIA Coordinator and coordinates resolution of FOIA requests.
Interacts with City departments, employees, and the public to relay or request information.
Regular and routine onsite attendance
