Position Overview:
OrthoLazer Orthopedic Wellness Centers offer a cutting-edge, drug-free, and non-invasive solution for managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. This hybrid role combines clinical support and front desk responsibilities to ensure a seamless and exceptional patient experience. As both an Orthopedic Laser Technician and Medical Receptionist, you will administer MLS M8 Laser Therapy treatments, welcome and educate patients, and help manage daily operations of the clinic. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Patient Care:
Administer MLS Laser Therapy treatments (2–3 per hour) following established protocols.
Educate patients on laser therapy principles, benefits, and expectations.
Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary treatment areas.
Stay current with best practices and science related to laser therapy.
Support clinical operations and cross-train in front desk duties as needed.
Front Desk & Office Administration:
Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
Serve as the first point of contact for phone and email inquiries; assess initial patient eligibility for treatment.
Schedule appointments, check-in and check-out patients.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of all patient documents and EMR entries.
Process payments and manage basic daily administrative tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent in a medical-related field (e.g., PTA, OTA, Athletic Trainer, Medical Assistant, or Personal Trainer preferred).
At least 1 year of experience in a patient-facing or customer service role.
Prior experience with musculoskeletal conditions and knowledge of anatomy preferred.
Experience with appointment scheduling, multi-line phone systems, and EMR software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to adapt to new technologies quickly.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to stand for long periods and support clinical operations as needed.
Communication & Customer Service Skills:
Excellent verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with patients and providers.
Strong service orientation with genuine care for patient outcomes and experience.
Ability to build patient confidence in laser therapy through clear, supportive communication.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.
