What you’ll be doing

As the Administrator of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the application and providing end-user support to ensure the efficient delivery of mammographic screening and assessment services for BreastScreen NSW. This role is also responsible for planning and implementing PACS integration for new/upgraded screening and assessment services to support the business.

To be suitable for this role you will have demonstrated experience in managing your own workload across business as usual activities and project work. Central to this role is your advanced experience in hardware and software issues. Your effective skills in planning, collaboration and co-operation with internal and external stakeholders will also be a key element of this role.

Essential to this role will be your knowledge of PACS support and administration with an understanding of digital workflow in a health network. You will have an understanding of DICOM and HL7 integration points with Imaging Modalities, and Radiology Information Systems (RIS). You will have experience in a similar IT system support role with exceptional troubleshooting skills and a passion for customer service.

Essential requirements

Knowledge of Imaging Modalities, and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and an understanding of the nature of digital workflow and health network as a whole.

Experience with IT Service Management tools and procedures, including knowledge management and service desk applications.

Demonstrated ability to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to resolve problems in a complex information technology environment.

Experience in a health support, field engineering and/or an IT support role, or similar.

Knowledge in quality assurance of systems and documentation, understanding of SQL databases and HL7/DICOM applications.

Tertiary qualifications in health information management, business, computer science, information technology or related discipline or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.

If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.
