Job Purpose
To lead and supervise daily production activities in the Paint Shop, ensuring the electric vehicle (EV) painting process meets quality standards, safety requirements, and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
- Supervise painting processes (pretreatment, ED coating, sealing, top coat, etc.) in accordance with SOP.
- Ensure production output meets daily and weekly targets.
- Control and optimize the use of materials (paint, thinner, chemicals).
2. Quality Control
- Ensure painting quality meets company standards (defect-free).
- Identify and resolve painting defects (e.g., peeling, dust, orange peel).
- Coordinate with QA team for continuous quality improvement.
3. Team Leadership
- Assign tasks and manage operators on the production line.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and compliance with company regulations.
4. Safety & Environment
- Ensure implementation of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards.
- Monitor proper use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Support environmental programs (waste management, emission control).
5. Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
- Reduce defects, downtime, and operational waste (lean manufacturing).
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in automotive Paint Shop (EV experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of painting processes (ED, spray, oven, etc.).
- Good leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with SAP system is an advantage.
