We’re hiring a paralegal to assist our probate department in preparing legal documents, filing pleadings, coordinating law office activity, and conducting legal research. Responsibilities:

Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues

Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed

Help lawyers by assisting with client meetings, filing pleadings, coordinating hearings, conducting research and organizing and scheduling conferences.

Draft legal documents, letters, pleadings, affidavits and orders under the guidance of a lawyer

Qualifications:

ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired

Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred

Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills

At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting

Talented communicator and writer
