Overview:

Under supervision of Box Office Manager and Assitant Manager assist in the operation of the box office, implementing and following procedures,

overseeing the box office while managers are away, and scheduling and training personnel at the the athletic venues on campus.

About the Venue:

Pan American Center is multi-

purpose

arena in Las Cruces, New Mexico, located on the campus of New Mexico State Univeristy. The arena has a current seating capacity of 12, 515 people. The arena servves as home of the New Mexico State Aggies Men’s and Woman’s Basketball and Woman’s Volleyball Teams. We also do all game management for the athletic department which includes over 140 games a year.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling and training part‐time box‐office staff

 Maintaining daily records of ticketing sales transactions, including but not limited to, daily sales, deposits, and

cash

 Managing the box office window and phones during given shifts

 Utilizing the Ticket Master ticketing system to process ticket sales for all events and games

 Assisting in the enforcement of building policies for patrons

 Planning and coordinating with part time staff monthly employee schedules based on event schedule

 Learning about the sports entertainment industry through the eyes of the box office

 Maintaining and monitoring back office event information within the Ticket Master ticketing software

 Assits in opening and closing the box office

 Supervising the cash drawers

 Supervise the process for all season ticket holder payments accurately and on time

 Fill ticket orders for the athletic department

 Assit the athletic department with any questions or ticketing needs

 Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

 2‐3 experience in an office setting o rsimilar preferred

Ability to

perform effectively under stressful situations

Ability to

define, analyze and solve problems

Ability to

coordinate box office procedures with othe rstaff
