Receptionist Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Assistant. The position will perform a number of duties, including greeting and authorizing patients, calling patients to remind them of appointments, answering and routing calls, making transactions, filing paperwork, improving systems and keeping paperwork organized. Taking blood work and medical history and EKG experience is preferred.

Front Desk Receptionist Essential Functions:

Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Providing excellent customer service at all times.
Handling customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
Completing forms and determining necessary changes for service requested.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Is computer savvy and uses EMR system diligently and consistently.

Front Desk Receptionist Qualifications/ Requirements: * Ability to communicate to customers, co-workers and management in a professional/courteous manner.

Current or recent experience in a medical practice assuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations and guidelines.
Must work well within a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, EMR /Theraoffice.
One year experience in a customer service-oriented is strongly desired.
High school diploma or GED is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
