The Patient Access Department has a position available for a Registration Specialist. This is a Full-Time benefit eligible position with a variable schedule. The Patient Access Registration Specialist is responsible for the clerical applications of the patient admitting process, operating the facilities switchboard, and other reception type duties. This individual is responsible for timely, accurate and courteous registration of each patient prior to the delivery of care.
The Patient Access Registration Specialist gathers and inputs patient data that is fundamental for the creation of an accurate electronic health record, billing and collections.
Skills Required:
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Working knowledge of computer
Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, following Richland Hospital’s Telephone Etiquette Policy
