We are currently looking to fill a Patient Scheduler position for a Healthcare company located in Atlanta, Ga. This is a full-time Monday-Friday position that is fully remote. The ideal candidate will have prior experience demonstrating proficiency in scheduling and/or preregistering patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-register and schedule procedures, coordinating resources for patient services.
Connect caller needs with organizational resources, using various applications.
Operate hospital scheduling software.
Respond promptly to scheduling changes and cancellations.
Prioritize requests and provide accurate information to customers.
Assist patients with insurance and billing inquiries.
Collect patient demographic and financial information.
Support payment programs, explaining coverage and collecting payments.
Verify orders and prepare patient visits, including insurance verification and creating cost estimates.
Assess medical necessity and create patient cost estimates.
Determine financial responsibilities like deductibles and co-payments.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Maintain composure in stressful situations.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in PC office tools (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Excel).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Manage multiple priorities effectively.
Self-directed and quick to learn.
Able to read medical orders and triage calls effectively.
