Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of an individual assigned to this job. The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Other duties include but are not limited to:
Darkroom duties
Ordering supplies
Stocking
Dressing patients
Front office duties
Performing clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients
Filing patient reports
Retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records
Demonstrating adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology
Demonstrating good telephone etiquette and greeting patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner
Providing clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System), and running errands throughout the facility
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
Transportation experience preferred
Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent
