as a Payments Specialist I and play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and efficient back-office operations for the Atlantic FCU Payments division.
In this position, you’ll be the go-to problem solver, providing valuable information, thoughtful suggestions, and innovative solutions to our internal branches, members, and prospective clients. You will masterfully communicate across various platforms including mail, email, text, chat, phone, and video to ensure every interaction is prompt, efficient, and friendly.
You will uphold our corporate policies and standards while actively contributing to shaping the future of our services. Collaborate closely with the Payments & Fraud Manager on special projects and action items that advance our business objectives. Join us in this dynamic role and help elevate our member experience!
Responsibilities
Payments Processing: Manage payments processing tasks with precision and effective prioritization. Responsibilities include processing payments according to schedule and policies, ensuring compliance, handling functions like debit card ordering, fraud monitoring, dispute processing, wire transfers, and EFT originations. Manage card and electronic services, process member requests, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and support the Payments & Fraud Manager with various program administrations. Review procedures and suggest improvements for greater efficiency and service.
Customer Service: Deliver prompt and efficient service to internal and external members through mail, email, text, chat, phone, and video. Resolve issues, address product and service inquiries, escalate complex needs with recommendations, and maintain comprehensive knowledge to handle most Payments-related requests courteously and accurately.
File Maintenance and Quality Assurance: Review all file maintenance related to Payments services performed by internal staff to ensure system accuracy, adherence to policies, and complete documentation. Analyze errors and develop resolutions. Cross-train and learn other duties/functions within the department to support the team as needed.
