Role Description
The Payroll Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Ubud, responsible for managing accurate and timely payroll processing for the organization. This position oversees payroll data entry, calculations, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies. Day-to-day tasks include administering employee compensation changes, managing deductions and garnishments, validating timesheets, and coordinating with HR and Accounting to resolve discrepancies. The Payroll Analyst also prepares payroll reports, supports audits, and responds to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and payroll-related issues. This role contributes to process improvements, maintains detailed documentation, and helps ensure that payroll operations run efficiently and securely.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong payroll administration skills, including experience with end-to-end payroll processing and payroll systems as Talenta Mekari.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of payroll taxes and garnishments, with the ability to apply relevant regulations accurately and consistently.
- Candidates should possess solid accounting and reconciliation skills to verify payroll data, manage journal entries, and support financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret payroll data, identify variances, and recommend process improvements.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is preferred.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and payroll/HRIS software, along with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in real estate, investment, or professional services environments is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The role generally spans several critical areas of the payroll cycle:
- Data Audit & Processing: Review and reconcile timekeeping data, commissions, bonuses, and severance pay for accuracy before processing.
- Compliance & Tax Management: Ensure all payroll operations comply with local, state, and federal tax laws, labor standards, and withholding regulations.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll metrics. Analyze labor costs, overtime trends, and tax summaries for leadership.
- System Maintenance: Collaborate with IT and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) teams to test system updates, configure new earnings/deduction codes, and resolve technical glitches.
- Dispute Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for complex payroll inquiries, employee wage garnishments, and benefits deduction adjustments.
