JOB DESCRIPTION:

Educates and assists management and employees within a particular division or department in the administration of human resources policies and procedures.

Interprets policies and works with appropriate staff to effectively resolve human resources issues.

Provides guidance to managers and supervisors regarding employee leave policies.

May investigate and gather information regarding employee relations, Workers’ Compensation and FMLA situations.

Initiates employment requisitions and follows up on job postings and applicant referrals.

Processes new hire and applicant tracking paperwork.

Ensures the accuracy and completeness of employment documents.

Reviews and obtains approval of time and attendance documents, processes reimbursements and special checks and maintains required documentation.

Maintains databases, records and files and prepares reports.

May assist with budget preparation and monitor expenditures for specific areas.

Performs related responsibilities as required.

People Operations Support:

Processes payment requests (bonuses, reclassifications, promotions, and merit increases) and collaborates with Emory compensation team for approvals

Responsible for creating impactful HR-related surveys, reports, and communications.

Assists in preparing, updating, and managing team reports, HR metrics, and dashboards.
Collaborates with supervisors to ensure accurate and timely input and maintenance of timekeeping data in Task Force and Emory time keeping systems.

Addresses timekeeping-related inquiries from employees.
Provides support for special projects, such as Employee Engagement Surveys, Career Pathing, etc.
Maintains the integrity of confidential employee data within our HR systems, generating crucial reports for decision-making for leadership.

General Support to the Human Resources Team – Talent Acquisition Support:

Champions our search for talent by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, updating HRIS and streamlining new hire onboarding tasks.

Organizes and coordinates onboarding and orientation processes.

Serves as the POC and liaisons with new hires.
Coordinates logistics for successful general HR-sponsored events across the Task Force, ensuring flawless execution.

Manages supplies, calendars, and inquiries to keep our team organized.

Collaborates with the HR team to respond to inquiries by monitoring the generic AskHR email address.

Coordinates, and administers employee giveaways and gifts

Participates in committees and workgroups organized by Human Resources, including the CREW and/or ELEVATE Mentorship programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of college coursework, and three years of office administration experience which includes two years of human resources experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge of various personal computer software packages.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of HR laws and regulations, highlighting the importance of compliance in their role.
