Position: Police Clerk And Typist (Archives)

Overview

This is a provisional appointment.

Under general supervision, the Police Clerk & Typist will be assigned to the Archives Unit of the Evidence & Supply Management Division.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will include:

Answering telephone inquiries.

Maintaining files and records; sorting and disseminating supplies.

Typing and data entry.

Performing related work as required.

The position requires the physical ability to lift and carry boxes containing records up and down stairs and ladders.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

Applicants must have at least two (2) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, paid professional experience in administrative office work.

It is strongly preferred that all applicants have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Applicant must have the ability to exercise good judgment and be able to focus on details as required by the job.

Criminal Record Check Required
A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST IS REQUIRED
Boston Residency Required
