Job Summary
Under the supervision of the site Program Manager and with guidance from the Associate Director of Pre-Collegiate Programs, the Pre-Collegiate Program Assistant provides academic, operational, and motivational support to Upward Bound and Academic Talent Search program participants in grades 6-12, and assists with program needs to meet annual objectives.
Key Qualifications
This position requires experience working with diverse populations, professional communication skills with students, parents, schools, and professionals, proficiency in typing and Microsoft Office or Google Applications, and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) is preferred. A fingerprint clearance is required.
Essential skills include good communication, problem-solving, prioritization, confidentiality, attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Salary and Benefits
Starting pay ranges from $17 to $21 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, temporary, non-exempt position. Reappointment depends on performance and budget considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate early if needed.
