Provides administrative, clerical, and support services for the County Engineer, Assistant County Engineers and Coordinators.
Monitors invoices from receipt through processing including those related to Mobility and Right of Way; Enters department requisitions including those related to Mobility and Right of Way.
Establishes and maintains current written procedures for administrative tasks within the department including those related to Mobility and Right of Way.
Assembles and submits agenda items for invoices, agreements, contracts, right of way acquisitions and other project related topics.
Assists in training of new administrative staff.
Coordinates with other County departments to resolve problems and expedite workflow regarding Commissioner’s Court agenda items, Purchasing procedures and Right of Way invoice processing.
Maintains records to keep in compliance with the State of Texas Retention Schedule.
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Assists employees in coordinating County related travel and submitting of travel reimbursement requests.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED and 2 years technical school or specialty training.
5 years job related experience.
Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and other County departments.
Conflict resolution skills.
Basic knowledge of computers and software programs such as databases, spreadsheets, and word processors for daily use of computers, tablets and phones to communicate data digitally.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $20.10 – $25.13 hourly based on qualifications
