The

Georgetown Initiative for U.S.

-China Dialogue on Global Issues

is a university platform for engagement among scholars, students and practitioners to advance dialogue and promote solutions to global challenges ranging from climate change to peace and security.

Job Overview

The

Program Associate

supports the Initiative

leadership

in the administration of the Initiative’s research, teaching, outreach and communications activities.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to the Initiative Managing Director, the

Program Assistant

works closely with the Initiative’s senior fellows and research fellow.

They also interact with the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement staff, faculty and staff in a number of departments across the university, students, and the general public.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Interest in U.S.

-China relations and global affairs

Excellent English written and oralcommunicationabilities

Self-starter with outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work creatively within a team

Exceptionalattention to detailand professional time-management

Experience with Microsoft Suite and Google Apps

Preferred qualification

Knowledge of Chinese language
