The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel supporting 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.
The Department of Specialty Courts within the Administrative Office of the Courts has an immediate opening for three (3) Program Project Coordinators in Jefferson County.
The Department oversees the Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Treatment Court programs, collectively known as Specialty Courts. These programs aim to help participants overcome substance use disorders and make positive life changes.
The PPC will be responsible for managing the local drug court program and ensuring participant compliance with program requirements.
Examples of duties include:
Acting as a liaison to promote the specialty court program in the community.
Collaborating with community agencies to provide resources such as financial assistance, housing, medical screening, education, vocational rehabilitation, and substance use treatment.
Entering data into management information systems.
Maintaining and reporting program data, including grant management if applicable.
Handling participant intake using eligibility assessments and other information.
Carrying a participant caseload and providing case management.
Obtaining treatment sign-in sheets, treatment plans, verifying invoices, and communicating concerns with treatment facilities.
Some statewide and overnight travel may be required.
Overseeing drug testing with contracted vendors.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field

Associates Degree with two years of related experience or a High School Diploma with four years of related experience.
Special Requirements: Working knowledge of substance use disorder treatment.
Working Conditions:
Skills to handle highly stressed, high-risk, and high-need individuals. Ability to manage substance use disorder behaviors and crises. Capable of conducting direct observation of urine drug screenings for same-sex individuals as needed. Ability to work inside a detention center if required.
