Full Job Description
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As the Program Scheduling Assistant, you’ll be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the 24-hour programming grid for EWTN’s satellite feeds in a proprietary database.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Create and schedule programming grids for EWTN’s various satellite feeds.
Make programming decisions based upon liturgical year, special events and special programming.
Notify various entities of changes and issue memos concerning programming.
Supply various departments with information regarding Programming Schedule.
Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive effort on all EWTN’s programming platforms.
ABOUT YOU:
You have previous experience with scheduling/traffic or other database systems, with a background in cable or broadcast television.
You possess a strong familiarity with EWTN programming, or willingness to learn.
You are knowledgeable of the Catholic faith, liturgical year and EWTN mission.
You feel confident working independently and making decisions regarding programming.
Some of your dominant soft skills include: strong organizational and communication skills, detail oriented and ability to meet strict deadlines.
You possess strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Other database experience helpful.
You hold an Associate/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent broadcast scheduling experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of secondary language (Spanish and/or German) would be a huge plus!
