Position: Program Specialist (BetterWork)
The Part Time Program Specialist works 20-25 hours weekly and supports the day-to-day facilitation of the Better Work effort. They will assist with consulting recruitment and operational activities for Better Work-supported training classes or events. The Program Specialist serves as the primary contact by assessing the needs of job seekers and working with nonprofits, volunteers, and employers to connect clients with resources, coaching support, and work opportunities.
The position also supports training and activities related to consulting partnerships and the transition to this more limited direct service approach. The Part Time Program Specialist is part of the Better Work team and reports directly to the Better Work Program Manager unless specified otherwise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client tracking, follow-up, and communication
Volunteer tracking, follow-up, and communication
Program data tracking and reporting
Maintaining security of confidential client information
Assist with marketing the Better Work initiative
Assist with maintaining an updated list of community partners
Assist with participation in community events
Assist with maintaining calendars and setting appointments
Assist with the coordination and facilitation of training events
Assist with data collection and training audits to ensure quality standards are met
Assist with maintaining a database of business partners
Other work as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED; 4-year degree preferred
A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, administration, or equivalent
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrated active listening skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative environments
Ability to receive constructive critical feedback
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point
Comfortable with Google Drive
Proven ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and work within a defined organizational structure
Experience working remotely (preferred)
Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed
Bilingual in Spanish preferred

COMPENSATION
Pay range is $25-$35 hourly, commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined based on experience and fit.
