POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Project Administrative Support Specialist, you will work on a major infrastructure project as part of an integrated project team, while maintaining the following primary responsibilities:
Provide general project administration and support throughout project growth and progress.
Provide general project assistance to a team of various cross-sector professionals.
Perform project document control; write, format, and organize project documents, reports, specifications, and correspondence.
Manage project quality, time, and effort control methods.
Coordinate project team events; arrange and set up meetings / conferences; facilitate project agenda and documentation for meetings.
Set up and maintain files.
Create project reports.
Gather, track, compile, and report on relevant project assignment information from multiple sources.
Review / proofread drafts and completed documents for grammar, spelling, usage, etc.
Support members of the project management office in various capacities
Perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum associate’s degree or higher.
One to three years related experience; experience in the architectural, engineering, or construction industry a major plus.
Exposure to Document Control systems, including software (SharePoint, ProjectWise, ProCore, E-Builder, and/or ProLog), is a major plus.
Excellent verbal and written skills (grammar, punctuation, proofreading, and spelling).
Flexibility and adaptability: Must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and engage various managers; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment without constant direction.
Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent computer skills; tech savvy, with ability to learn new applications and software quickly and proficiently.
Local LA/OC candidates preferred.
