Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Project Manager is a vital component to the overall success of client relationships. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of each client project by utilizing written and oral communication skills, effectively applying company technology, and prioritizing tasks.

Position Competencies:

Technology Astute – Ability to utilize technology to effectively and efficiently perform all job functions. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Communication – Uses clear communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilize active listening skills to document clients’ requested services within the company work order system in an efficient and accurate manner.

Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables.

Report project progress and budgets to clients and upper management effectively.

Identify and dispatch appropriate trade-related vendors.

Recruit new vendors as needed.

Utilize negotiation skills to achieve nationwide pricing.

Document and submit vendor work order requests through the work order management system.

Ensure that client needs are met by following up with both the clients and vendors in a timely manner.

Build rapport with clients and routinely call to ensure overall satisfaction.

Provide timely and comprehensive written and oral updates throughout the duration of a work order. Work to resolve or escalate disputes to the project manager as needed.

Track all materials needed to complete a project and schedule accordingly.

Employ critical thinking skills to effectively detect, investigate, and solve all client issues utilizing the work order management system.

Certify all information logged in our work order management system is accurate and complete. Entries should be logged in a timely manner.

Ensure all required supporting information is obtained to guarantee the accurate invoicing of the client.

Work with billing to ensure that services are billed in a timely manner.

Maintain a positive attitude with all clients and vendors and demonstrate a focus on customer service.

Opportunity to travel to site to perform surveys or manage on-site work.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Two (2) years or more experience managing construction projects in a leading or supporting role.

Six (6) months of experience working with subcontractors.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask without forgoing the quality of work.

Ability to read blueprints.
