I. JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager at DirectFN is responsible for planning, executing, and closing individual client delivery projects across DirectFN's capital markets and financial technology product portfolio. Working under the direction of the relevant Delivery Manager, the Project Manager owns the day-to-day management of assigned implementations — coordinating internal teams, managing client communication, tracking progress, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the quality standards expected by DirectFN's clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced fintech delivery environment.

II. Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Initiation

•         Develop comprehensive project plans for assigned client implementations, including scope definition, milestone schedules, resource plans, and risk registers.

•         Facilitate project kick-off activities — confirming scope, aligning stakeholders, establishing communication protocols, and setting up project governance.

•         Work with technical teams to validate effort estimates and ensure project plans are realistic and achievable.

2. Project Execution & Monitoring

•         Manage the day-to-day execution of assigned projects, tracking progress against plans and ensuring all workstreams are on schedule.

•         Run regular project status meetings with internal teams and clients, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and next steps.

•         Monitor and manage project scope, flagging and processing change requests through the appropriate approval workflow.

•         Identify and resolve blockers quickly, escalating to the Delivery Manager when issues require senior intervention.

3. Client Communication & Relationship Management

•         Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients throughout the project lifecycle.

•         Communicate project status, risks, and milestone updates to client stakeholders in a clear, professional, and timely manner.

•         Manage client expectations effectively, building a positive and collaborative working relationship throughout the engagement.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

•         Coordinate activities across engineering, QA, deployment, and support teams to ensure all project tasks are executed on schedule.

•         Manage dependencies between internal workstreams and client-side activities, proactively addressing conflicts or delays.

•         Work with the deployment team to plan and coordinate go-live activities, ensuring all readiness criteria are met before execution.

5. Project Governance & Documentation

•         Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including project plans, status reports, risk registers, meeting minutes, and change logs.

•         Ensure all project artefacts are filed and managed in accordance with DirectFN's PMO standards and documentation requirements.

•         Complete project closure activities including go-live sign-off, lessons-learned documentation, and handover to post-go-live support.

III. Qualifications & Requirements:

○       Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

○       Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in project management or project coordination within a technology delivery or professional services environment.

○       Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end software implementation projects with multiple stakeholders.

○       Good understanding of project management methodologies including waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches.

○       Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.

○       Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

○       Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.

IV. Prefer to Have:

○       PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.

○       Experience delivering capital markets or financial technology implementations such as BMS, OMS, AMS, or trading platforms.

○       Familiarity with the delivery environments of financial institutions, brokerage houses, or banks in the GCC.
