The Provider Expirables Coordinator is responsible for the accurate tracking, monitoring, and maintenance of provider licensure, certifications, malpractice insurance, and other time‑sensitive credentialing requirements for a large healthcare organization. This position plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting uninterrupted provider operations. The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment regarding when to elevate issues or seek clarification.
Success in this role requires strong follow‑through, accuracy, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and track expiration dates for provider licenses, certifications, registrations, malpractice insurance policies, and other required credentials.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within credentialing and provider management systems.
- Generate and distribute expiration notices and follow up with providers and stakeholders to ensure timely renewals.
- Verify receipt and accuracy of updated licensure, certifications, insurance documentation, and other compliance‑related records.
- Identify potential compliance risks and elevate concerns appropriately to leadership.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports related to provider expirables, compliance status, and outstanding requirements.
- Collaborate with credentialing, medical staff services, provider enrollment, compliance, and operational teams to ensure continuity of provider credentials.
- Support audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance initiatives as needed.
- Follow established procedures while recognizing situations that require clarification, escalation, or additional guidance.
- Perform additional administrative and compliance‑related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative, credentialing, compliance, healthcare operations, or related experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
