Job Description Summary

The Scheduling Coordinator supports both Boardman Pack Center and Morrow Cold Storage facilities. Main responsibilities are scheduling and timekeeping duties, while providing general HR support for all employees. This position is pivotal in building a trusting relationship between the HR department and employees and it is typically employees’ first point of contact for all HR-related issues. This position reports directly to the HR Manager.
Job Description
Maintain, monitor and update hourly time keeping (Kronos) and scheduling (Indeavor) systems.
Owns all processes associated with payroll for the hourly workforce.
General HR support for employees. Address employee questions and determine an appropriate course of action, either referring employees to appropriate staff or resolving situations.
Responsible for completing all tasks associated with badges, building access, and employee lockers.
Partner with other departments across the facility to complete new hire orientation.
Maintain bulletin board to communicate important information to employees.
Ensures employee personnel files are accurate and up to date.
Assist & coordinate employee events that drive engagement.
Assists with leave administration associated with FMLA, OFLA, Short-term disability, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification preferred.
1 year in a human resources position or payroll administration.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
Excellent computer skills required. Must be able to learn and utilize all computer systems.
Experience with applicant assessment and selection required.
Experience with HR Information Systems (WorkDay, Kronos, Indeavor preferred).
Knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, OFLA, etc.).
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent at prioritizing and organizing tasks.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, including leadership.
Ability to perform basic algebra (addition subtraction, multiplication, division) as it relates to human resources.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $42,180.00 – $63,270.00
