JOB SUMMARY:

Supports executive staff members in administrative, secretarial, and clerical tasks which include maintaining executive calendars by prioritizing and coordinating appointments, processing mail and responding to routine correspondence, maintenance of confidential files, and secretarial workflow.

The incumbent represents the organization to external and internal customers and must exercise a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in daily activities.

Education:

BS or BA preferred

Experience:

Five (5) years experience as a secretary, administrative assistant, or office manager

Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Requires a high degree of confidentiality

Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of employees and customers in a professional and courteous manner

Requires organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Requires ability to communicate via documentation, telephone, computer, and directly

Requires ability to use various computer applications, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Requires moderate technical audio-visual support skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to act as gatekeeper and escalate relevant information to executives as needed

Time management and an ability to multi-task

Ability to work independently
