Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing Staff role based in Denpasar. The Purchasing Staff is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining and comparing quotations, and preparing accurate purchase orders in line with company policies. The role involves coordinating with operations, finance, and other internal teams to ensure timely provision of goods and services for properties and offices. The Purchasing Staff will monitor stock levels, follow up on deliveries, resolve any discrepancies with vendors, and maintain up-to-date purchasing records and documentation. This position also includes supporting cost control initiatives, identifying opportunities for savings, and contributing to reliable supply chains that support hospitality operations.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and purchasing procedures, with the ability to follow and improve standard operating practices.
- Experience in purchase management and handling purchase orders, including vendor selection, negotiation, and order tracking.
- Demonstrated purchasing skills, including sourcing, price comparison, and basic contract or agreement review.
- Analytical skills to compare quotations, evaluate supplier performance, manage basic cost analysis, and optimize inventory levels.
- High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to maintain organized records and reports.
- Good communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with office and purchasing-related software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, ERP or inventory systems is an advantage).
- Relevant vocational diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or retail purchasing is an advantage.
