The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

As the Receptionist you will greet all guests at the front reception desk, signing them in and ensuring each guest has a temporary identification badge.  Answer phone and route calls to the appropriate person or department.  Will answer phones in highly professional manner with executive demeanor.  Provide clerical and administrative assistance, when needed, to the Facilities Manager.

What You’ll Work On

Promptly answer all incoming calls received, screen calls and transfers calls to proper person or department.

Provide information and directions as necessary.

Maintains the visitors log and reception desk files.

Issue visitor badges.

Maximo Preventive Maintenance Administrator, responsible for the completion of service requests for additions, changes and deletions of maintenance activities.

Facilities Helpdesk Administrator, responsible for the prioritization and routing of facility work requests received from employees.

Answer phones for Division President and Divisional Vice Presidents administrative assistants.

Support and promote site security procedures.

Assists with special assignments as directed

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Must be able to deal effectively with challenging interactions.

Must have strong initiative, and the ability to work independently.

Excellent filing and typing skills.

Required Microsoft Excel and Word application experience.

Behavioral characteristics, detail oriented, follow through, diplomatic, honest, active listener, proactive, collaboration and communication, sense of urgency, can prioritize, organized, and works well within a stressful/dynamic, changing demanding environment.
