Role Description This full-time, on-site Receptionist/Administrative Assistant role is based in the Louisville Metropolitan Area. The role includes greeting visitors, answering and routing phone calls, responding to inquiries, and providing professional front desk support to clients, partners, and community members. The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant manages incoming and outgoing mail, maintains office supplies, and supports scheduling and meeting coordination. Daily responsibilities also involve data entry, filing, document preparation, and assisting staff with basic clerical and administrative tasks. The role contributes to a welcoming, inclusive environment and supports efficient office operations for the organization’s programs and services.
Qualifications

  • Strong Receptionist Duties skills, including greeting visitors, managing front desk operations, and handling inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Effective Phone Etiquette and Communication skills to manage calls, relay messages accurately, and interact courteously with diverse individuals.
  • Solid Clerical Skills, such as data entry, filing, document organization, and basic office software proficiency (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
  • Customer Service skills to support clients and visitors with empathy, patience, and respect, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity to client needs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work reliably in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in reception, administrative support, or nonprofit settings is beneficial.
  • Comfort working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing housing instability or health-related challenges.
