Compensation Range:

$21.36 – $29.90

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Provides general administrative support to a leader within the leadership career stream. Manage and implement faculty development activities for the medical school faculty. Collaboration with medical school faculty and administration, data collection and compilation for programs, seek grant opportunities for initiatives in faculty development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages coordination of faculty development activities, consisting of workshops and conferences. Includes securing space, preparation of materials (brochures) and presentations, meeting logistics and reporting. Arranges travel for conferences and guest speakers.
Maintains database of events. Manages CME certification for faculty development activities, critiques, events and reviews of final evaluations. Creates event summary and develops initial plans for faculty workshops and courses.
Supports endowed Dean’s Teaching Fellow program, supporting its faculty development goals, under the direction of the Program directors. Includes managing the application process, brochures and announcements and coordinating a seminar series between Sept and June, track DTF activities, managing expenses and budget.
Responsible for advertising of programs both within the University community and externally. Maintains web page for faculty development activities, develops and organizes materials and content for the web page. Develops and maintains distribution lists for communication of events.
Grant management for faculty development events, update grant applications and coordinates selection committee. Monitors expenses and budgets for faculty development events (conferences may have up to 200 attendees)
Maintains calendar for Associate Dean for Development, constructs routine and non-routine correspondence for internal and external collaborations. Handles day to day office operations, supply ordering. Manages travel and logistics for associate dean. Communicates and collaborates regularly with UR medical center faculty and senior leadership offices as well as various external professional organizations.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2 years of relevant administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
Exceptional organizational, time management and administrative skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and projects, in meeting deadlines as appropriate required.
Strong communication, writing/editing, interpersonal and organizational skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability essential required.
Strong technical skills, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, Including the ability to create and design brochures and flyers for events – knowledge of web design, publishing and Kentico content management system required.
Knowledge of Medical Center policies and procedures preferred
Requires flexibility in working hours. The majority of work will be completed within usual business hours, although the need to support logistics for conferences may require occasional evening or weekend in-person attendance.
