Responsibilities
This key position is responsible for greeting all visitors as well as answering all incoming phone calls in a timely and courteous manner, including all overhead paging using the hospital intercom system. This position is also responsible for scheduling all meeting rooms in the hospital and performing various other clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The position requires a minimum of a high school education. Previous experience with a multi-line telephone system is required. Ability to read and interpret basic financial reports and legal documents. Good verbal communication skills to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and compute percentages.
The employee must be able to visualize clients and visitors to assess safety issues, hear responses over the phone and in person, and communicate effectively. Regularly required to sit for long periods, use manual dexterity for keyboard and switchboard operations, and handle packages. Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and work in a stressful environment, managing multiple tasks.
