We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible receptionist to work within the Gainsborough Urgent Treatment Centre.

Please note this position will not commence before June 2025.

Main

Duties

of the Job

Your main role will be to provide effective and efficient receptionist services, communicating with patients and clients in a positive and friendly manner, addressing any queries, and adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies at all times. You will operate a confidential and effective appointments booking system and receive, register, and direct patients to the appropriate area for consultation.

Job Responsibilities

Person Specification Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in business and administration or equivalent experience

Maths and English GCSE/O’Level grade C or above

Working towards European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent

Previous Experience

Experience of working in a busy administrative environment such as General Practice

Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment

Experience of working towards targets/deadlines under pressure

Awareness of confidentiality

Previous experience of working in the NHS

Skills

Excellent communication skills, being approachable and polite

Ability to maintain good working relationships with all team members

Good organisational skills, using initiative, with a high degree of accuracy

Ability to seek appropriate advice from colleagues

Knowledge and proficiency in relevant software packages including Excel, Word, Outlook, ESR, Publisher, Medway, PowerPoint, Systm One

Problem-solving ability to respond to issues and identify solutions

Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and ability to use discretion where necessary
