Financial Benefits Assistant

Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

40 hours

An employee in this position is responsible for managing finances for individuals and maintaining benefits such as Medicaid, SNAP, and SSI/SSDI.

Essential Functions:

Complete reports related to client benefits.

Apply for any benefits or assistance as requested.

Provide benefit information to social service agencies as needed.

Complete written reports to SSA and updating SSA as needed.

Copy and file documents related to client accounts.

Reconcile bank statements for 120+ clients.

Prepare Income and Expense reports.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Experience with accounting and/or computers is preferred.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge of finance and budgeting principles.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Strong communication and organization skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks that need completion in order of timeliness and importance.
