The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for recording revenue in accordance of US GAAP and ASC 606 for the Jetway business unit of Oshkosh AeroTech. This position is responsible for analyzing contracts from contract entry to closure and determining the appropriate revenue to recognize. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and will play a key role in the month end and quarter end close processes.
YOUR IMPACT:
Work with operations, contract management and other departments to ensure all contracts are properly captured and revenue is appropriately recognized.
Prepare various journal entries, account reconciliations and revenue disclosure workbooks to support financial statements.
Works directly with shared service personnel to ensure that accounts are correct and reconciled and that closings are performed timely.
Prepare data on revenue and contracts to support financial statement footnotes.
Support audit requests and other ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
Maintain procedure and policy adherence to ensure integrity of financial data and compliance with U.S. G.A.A.P.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Accounting from a recognized academic institution
3+ years working with basic accounting principles and performing general ledger activities preferably in a manufacturing or project costing environment.
Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition
Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Public Accounting Experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts as required.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:The following computer skills are required for this position: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Syteline ERP System would be a plus, but not required.
