JOB TITLE: Warehouse Driver, Distribution Services
REPORTS TO: Distribution Services Foreman
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt
PAY GRADE: AUX3
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Warehouse Driver is responsible for pulling and packing orders for scheduled deliveries. The position will be responsible for processing and delivering regular scheduled deliveries on a daily basis, and is directly responsible for all paperwork necessary to maintain accurate records for who received each shipment. Responsible for performing all necessary daily maintenance tasks for Distribution Center equipment. Assist with minor equipment repairs and when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Minimum 18 years of age
High School Graduate or GED from an accredited institution
Preferred:
Experience driving delivery vans
Distribution Shipping/Receiving experience
Must obtain Class B, CDL License within 6 months of hire?
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Acceptable motor vehicle record and criminal history
Extensive knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control
Pulling and packing orders for shipment
Basic communication and organizational skills
Must possess mental and emotional maturity to work with or without supervision
Customer Service oriented, displaying a positive attitude
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Pull orders and pack for next day deliveries.
Label stock, rotate existing stock, and assist with inventory.
Stock inventory in the proper location within the warehouse.
Fill walk through orders and notify office of out-of-stock items.
Drive delivery vehicles on a daily basis.
Load and unload all types of materials with forklifts and pallet jacks.
Cross-train in all Distribution Center positions.
Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain the work area, using brooms, driving floor sweeper and operating floor scrubber equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing weekly training including safety, customer service skill development and proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Perform battery charging and daily maintenance of batteries of all Distribution Services equipment. (Including pallet jacks, forklifts, Turet truck and work assist vehicle).
Perform minor repairs of forklift and shrink wrapping machines when necessary
Perform preventative daily equipment maintenance task.
All other duties as assigned
Must operate vehicles up to 60 miles per day in order to maintain delivery schedules.
Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
Hand load products off delivery trucks and push dollies weighing up to 600 pounds into district facilities.
Job requires lifting while twisting, lifting and walking, bending and lifting, reaching and lifting, and reaching while lifting.
Corrected 20/20 day and night vision with color discrimination.
Must possess normal hearing, depth perception, and eye-to-hand coordination.
Must have normal mobility of back, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, feet, knees, and ankles.
Requires working while sitting, squatting, driving, standing, bending, and walking.
Must operate manual and mechanical lifting devices such as a forklift and pallet jack. Squatting and pushing are required to position forks for picking up loads on pallets.
Must be able to work in varying climate conditions. Facilities are not climate controlled and temperature fluctuates based on outdoor temperature.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires a person that is able to maintain emotional control under stress. The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following: ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment efficiently and effectively with frequent interruptions. Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Overtime is required as necessary.
Duties performed require considerable initiative and tact. The position requires leadership qualities such as: adaptability, flexibility, dependability and accountability. Maintain confidential information and frequent contact with all levels within and outside of the district.
