We are currently seeking a Sales Administrator on a temporary, twelve (12) month basis with the possibility of an extension. This position is based out of our Head Office in Sherwood Park and reports directly to the Sales Manager. The role is responsible for supporting and assisting the Sales Department including customer rate management, internal customer relationship management, and administrative duties.
Additionally, the role assists the Accounting & Operations’ departments with the application of customer charges and the investigation of invoicing discrepancies & payment issues.
The Role
Customer Pricing Execution:
Maintain internal pricing structure.
Assist with the application of customer charges to customer orders, including interface with Billing and Proof of Delivery (POD) representatives.
Update, Review & Share Customer Pricing reference material; work with Sales Administrative Supervisor to develop new material as needed.
Administer pricing information in Transportation Management Software (Axon), including Customer Rates, Accessorial Prices, Fuel Surcharges, etc.
Review and implement rate increases according to contract terms.
Interface with team members on new rates where required.
Coordinate the administration of special projects.
Internal Relationship Management Responsibilities
Interface regularly with Billing & Operations Department
Coach and train Proof of Delivery representatives on customer charges & pricing agreements.
Organize regular interface meetings with Operations & Accounting departments.
Participate in Accounts Receivable reviews, assist with investigating invoice disputes, provide feedback to Sales Department on reoccurring payment issues.
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain Stats and Tracking processes.
Provide backup coverage to other Sales Administrators as needed.
Coordinate and respond to customer service inquiries.
Prepare, submit, and track Rate Quotes.
Other Responsibilities
Participate in all safety related, compliance, and regulatory programs and education
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

2 – 5 years related experience preferred; equivalencies will be considered
Diploma or certificate in Administration or a related field
