Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Sales Assistant role based in Batu Caves, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The Sales Assistant will support the sales team by handling daily inquiries from travelers and partners, preparing quotations, and updating sales records and customer information in the CRM. The role includes coordinating with local adventure operators, following up on leads, and assisting in converting inquiries into bookings. The Sales Assistant will help prepare sales materials, presentations, and basic reports, and support outreach campaigns to new partners. This position will also collaborate with customer support and marketing to ensure a smooth experience for travelers and operators.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to build rapport with travelers and partners, handle questions, and resolve issues professionally.
- Effective communication skills (spoken and written) to manage inquiries, explain offerings clearly, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Sales mindset and basic sales skills, including lead follow-up, upselling, and supporting the closing of deals in a structured, ethical manner.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple inquiries, maintain accurate records, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort with digital tools (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, email and chat platforms); prior experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting from Batu Caves, showing reliability, self-motivation, and accountability when working both on-site and from home.
- Diploma or degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
