Position: Full-Time Scheduler & QA/QI Specialist
Department: Operations
Reports To: Department Heads and Operations Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Full-Time Scheduler & QA/QI Specialist. This dual-role position combines advanced scheduling responsibilities with Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) duties, supporting the operational efficiency and compliance of our ambulance, shuttle, dispatch, and logistics departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling:
Manage and maintain the scheduling system (TS Scheduler), ensuring optimal coverage for ambulance, shuttle, dispatch, and logistics operations.
Address call-offs by finding suitable replacements and managing last-minute adjustments.
Coordinate with department heads to assign cleared employees from the Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP) to appropriate roles.
Monitor and report staffing needs and trends to the Operations Manager.
QA/QI
Duties
:
Review Electronic Patient Care Reports (ePCRs) to ensure adherence to established medical protocols and documentation standards.
Identify areas for improvement in clinical and operational documentation and recommend corrective actions.
Provide constructive feedback to staff to ensure continuous quality improvement in patient care delivery.
Administrative Support:
Assist with scheduling-related communications across departments to ensure clarity and alignment.
Support data tracking and reporting for QA/QI metrics and scheduling compliance.
Qualifications:
Advanced medical certification or degree (e.g., Paramedic, RN, or equivalent).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems, including the TS Scheduler.
Experience in EMS or a healthcare-related field is strongly preferred.
