A welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Brent is seeking an experienced and highly organised School Administrator / Admin Assistant to join their busy and friendly school office team. This is a vital role within the school, providing efficient administrative support and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a large and vibrant primary school community.

About the Role

As a School Administrator / Admin Assistant, you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff, and external agencies in a professional and welcoming manner

• Manage day-to-day administrative operations within a busy primary school office

• Use SIMS (School Information Management System) confidently and independently for attendance, pupil records, admissions, and reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil data, safeguarding records, and school documentation

• Handle incoming calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries efficiently and professionally

• Support attendance monitoring, late registers, and absence procedures

• Assist with safeguarding procedures, including visitor management and compliance checks

• Support school communications including letters, newsletters, mail merges, and parent updates

• Assist with school trips, events, payments, and basic finance/admin tasks where required

• Work closely with senior leaders, teachers, and external professionals to support school operations

• Ensure confidentiality, GDPR compliance, and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working in a school office is essential in the uk.

• Strong, confident working knowledge of SIMS (essential – not a training role)

• Experience working in a busy primary school environment (two-form entry or larger preferred)

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with parents and staff

• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment

• Confident ICT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work

• Strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding in a school setting

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
