SUMMARY OF POSITION
The role of a delivery driver focuses on the operating a company provided vehicle in a safe manner while providing excellent service to our customer during deliveries. The driver focuses on delivering within a 250-300 mile radius from their local branch location. This role is typically a Monday – Friday position, work hours vary depending on business and customer delivery needs. The driver is usually driving a box truck or sprinter style van, as this is not a CDL role. Only local candidates should apply to the position, overtime is sometimes required. Silvercote, a Service Partners company, is a producer and supplier of insulation systems and products for the metal building, agriculture and commercial industry. In this role, the driver will be interacting and lifting these and other products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Compliance to all DOT regulations to include, follow all rules of the road and operates commercial motor vehicles daily
Puts safety above all by conducting daily vehicle inspections, properly loads and unload product at customer job sites
Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customer and ensuring that the deliver is in full and complete
Participate in all company training to include safety, compliance, product knowledge, policy and procedures
Loading and unloading of product; by hand or by mechanical means
Completing basic paperwork and limited computer usage
MAY ALSO INCLUDE
Operation of forklift, once certified
Warehouse duties, loading and unloading trucks
Assist with counting inventory
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school education or equivalent
Experience:
2-5 years of driving and delivery experience
Clean driving record; preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic mechanical aptitude and preventative maintenance
Good interpersonal communication
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Basic hand tools
Computer and Cell phone
Forklift experience and certification
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to walk, bend, reach, lift, crouch and stand during shift
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, repeatable safety
Drive vehicle and following rules of the road
Working Conditions:
Moderate noise level
Regularly exposed to a fast-paced environment
May be exposed to extreme temperature changes and dusty conditions when in the plant/branch
