Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have of medical terminology and scheduling software.
Responsibilities:
– Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
– Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
– Maintain electronic health records using eClinicalWorks or similar software
– Assist with medical billing and insurance verification processes
– Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
– Coordinate referrals to specialists and diagnostic facilities
– Perform general administrative tasks to support the office staff
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
– Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or similar electronic health record systems
– Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
– Knowledge of medical scheduling practices and patient registration processes
– Understanding of dental receptionist duties is a plus
– Strong communication skills and ability to operate multi-line phone systems
– Ability to maintain accurate medical records and handle sensitive information securely
