Secretary/Receptionist- Gastroenterology Jobs in Findlay, OH at Blanchard Valley Health System

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday / Will review flexibility options for virtual scheduling

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide general information, answer questions, and assist visitors and church members via telephone and other electronic media as necessary in executing job responsibilities.

Administrative functions include, but not limited to:

a. Address incoming phone calls during assigned work hours, respond promptly to voice mail messaging

b. Create and file business correspondence; assist in the design and preparation of office forms, presentations, and brochures; publish weekly church bulletin, record and transcribe meeting minutes by the Sr. Pastor, make copies of documents as needed

c. Assist in the planning and setup of monthly leadership meetings or other meetings assigned by the Sr. Pastor; attend staff and leadership meetings and respond to assigned action items within seven (7) days

d. Maintain and update the church calendar(s) with approved events from the Executive Pastor of Ministry. Ensure calendar entries are timely updated within 24 hours of receipt and verify accuracy of all entries. Confirm in-house security is required and approved for all events

e. Record retention of formal church documents such as meeting minutes, event forms, church literature, etc. Maintain a historical file of all church bulletins and inserts. Keep an active contact directory listing for internal communications

f. Generate new member /visitor packets, send follow-up welcome letter to first time visitors and new members to provide information about the church

g. Schedule and coordinate new member orientation and baptismal candidate classes with the respective ministry leader, distribute confirmation letters

h. Track, order and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies including special orders and ministry requests

i. Prepare and setup Sunday worship service by ensuring member update/get acquainted cards are available and communion is available within various areas of the church (i.e. pastor table, hallway, vestibule, choir, sanctuary communion table)

j. Other duties as assigned or needed for the success of the executive office

Education & Experience

High school diploma required. Preferred candidate will have an equivalent combination of post-secondary formal education and prior experience in business administration

Minimum of two (2+) years’ experience within an administrative assistant, receptionist or client facing role

Strong written and verbal communications skills; organizing and planning, attention to detail, time management, problem solving and team orientation/relationship building

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Schedule:

4 hour shift
Every weekend
Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

Memphis, TN 38115: Relocate before starting work (Required)
