We are seeking a highly capable team member to lead and enhance the safety and security of Kina Bank’s staff, customers, assets, and operations.
This role is responsible for managing physical security systems, analyzing intelligence, and coordinating timely responses to threats and incidents across all Kina Bank Branches and Corporate Offices. You will also play a key role in overseeing service standards, ensuring security providers deliver to the highest levels of performance and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The core functions of the position are as follows but not limited to:
- Security Systems & Asset Protection: Oversee and maintain all physical security infrastructure (CCTV, access control, alarms, safes, time locks) and ensure the secure handling and transportation of cash and sensitive materials.
- Intelligence & Risk Monitoring: Gather and analyse intelligence on criminal activity and external threats, while monitoring local and national developments that may impact bank operations.
- Incident Management & Coordination: Coordinate responses to security incidents, maintain accurate reporting and logs, and liaise with law enforcement and relevant agencies.
- Governance, Compliance & Capability Building: Develop and enforce security policies, ensure regulatory compliance, manage security provider SLAs, and promote staff awareness through training and a strong security culture.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary Education in a relevant field such as: Security or Risk Management
- Understanding of banking operations, branch environments, and security risks associated with financial institutions would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to conduct security risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures to protect people, assets, and operations.
- Experience monitoring security trends, crime patterns, and emerging threats that may impact business operations
- Experience supporting business continuity, emergency response, or crisis management activities.
